I've been digging
high and low for internet map making tools, etc. If you cannot afford
Campaign Cartographer
, there are
many other alternatives.
Gimp
offers free tools to construct a map of your own. You can find GIMP map
overlays, grids/objects/elements
here
or use Deviantart
as means to find old
maps
for a basis/layout. There are icons, terrain structures, maps,
compasses, mountains, etc, etc. Just browse that link.
Other methods of building maps are clipart. I used clipart from
Openclipart.org,
and shrank them in
photoshop, then applied/adjusted through layers.
