Whilst Midway(Sholin) has been heavy on the Magic creation, I have been taking my time venturing through rpg sites and 'add list' to promote the website and channel more productively. 

We now have a live chat box, a 'ratings/feedback' widget, Yahoo! Groups, Xanga groups, etc..etc. We have a voting for Aegle Waygate section too. And many many more additions!

Be sure to register on the forums today and introduce yourself into the Aegle Waygate community. There are OOC, IC, storyline sections and any inbetween that the players feel compelled to post. :)

After some much needed hiatus and leisure time, Midway and Aegle are back in business...with more ideas and fun funnies than ever before. ;]

 A "LIBRARY" wing has been created. The Northern Chantry Atheneum! These books are not for public access and only provided to those with the profession or skill to open them. They will be given a password to those able to redeem their useful findings.

BREAKING DOWN THE VERY BASICS AND ESSENTIALS OF RPING:

It's came to my knowledge that some players aren't clear on discerning IC and OOC.  (Check: What is roleplaying?)

Extinguishing between OOC and IC isn't difficult. Your character cannot assume INFORMATION collected from your OOC sources. This is called "META-GAMING". There is no emotional ooc involved in ic. Do not misconstrue ic for ooc actions. A character's personality is their own, and is not to be questioned OOC, nor can a character figure out another's personality, or alignment by looking at their site sheet. No one's characters are to be pandered to. When you say; "Your character did this...and that.." - It can result in a kick/ban. There are various alignments and types of personas in Aegle Waygate. If you feel you don't get some unknown due attention for whatever reason, then perhaps Aegle Waygate is not for you, and you should just go now. This is not an RPG to -learn- how to play in. You are not permitted to attack someone OOC for something -your- character did to another. Aegle Waygate's owners have been roleplaying for approximately 12+ years. If you fail to comply to these guidelines- it will be obvious and noticed. You WILL be warned, then banned. People who lash out OOCly, because they're unable to hear/translate conversations about their character ICly, should really find a cybersex chat, because they're not RPing, they're meta-gaming. You will know everything that your character knows, but the character will not know everything that you know.

EXAMPLE:

<Camigwen> dem is nothign but an foul mouthed ass, sho is the dark brooding look-at-me I'm soooo very darak and cool and shit and the gm not only allows it, but encourages it.
<@Aegle> I don't understand.
<@Aegle> They were speaking Abyssal. They're roleplaying their characters.
<@Sholin> Demitri is a Demon, Sholin is Evil. They're not do-gooders. And my character specifically has said nothing to yours.
<Camigwen> cami is the only one NOT trying to plot or start a fight.  she is TRYING to help the gm by getting everone tocalm down and SHE's the one who gets the hounds called on her???  wtf!!!
<Camigwen> yeah, your character never interacts.  just sits there and preens
<@Aegle> Camigwen: It's a lawless land, they're going to be loud, harsh and evil creatures around.

WARNING: We don't 'run off' characters. We weed them out, thankfully. The persons who do not read the rules, have the know-how and IC/OOC expertise, will fail at being capable of roleplaying anything remotely decent for the environment. Please do not register if you're emotionally connected to your characters. There are no 'good/evil' specifications in this game. You roleplay the alignment your character is registered in. This will naturally conflict good/evil characters along the way. There are no good/bad campaigns. You mingle within the Endow Moors- a sanctuary for 'bizzare' and strange creatures.
